Garlic

Garlic is a plant grown for its delicious bulbs. Eaten raw garlic has a strong, pungent, spicy taste. The strong taste mellows when cooked, and roasting brings out a lovely nutty flavor. Garlic can be stored in a cool/dark, dry, and well ventilated area for 3-5 months. You can also freeze garlic cloves peeled or unpeeled for later use. Check out ways to can your garlic, if interested. Garlic scapes are the flower bud of the plant.
